| The story so far… There aren’t many businesses that can track their beginnings back to 1908. Meyers&Farrar can. Imagine this: Immigrating from Germany and settling in Gallup, New Mexico, 1908. What could it have been like---before WWI; settling in a railroad town as a jeweler and watchmaker? That was the story of Bill Wurm. Many years later, after WWII, great nephew Clifford Farrar, who appreciated the story and the courage, said to his Uncle Bill, “Let me learn.” Everyone prospered. Meanwhile another great uncle to Clifford started a trading post in St. Michaels, AZ. In 1951, the whole family moved to California. They opened stores throughout the state and into Hawaii. In 1993, Clifford moved his family to Scottsdale and with his son Brad, opened stores in Farmington,New Mexico and Lubbock, Texas. Today, 100 years after Uncle Bill started his store in Gallup, New Mexico, Meyers&Farrar is known in Lubbock as home for the finest jewelry designers. You’ll find: Gregg Ruth, Lecil Anderson, Bellari---and so many others. Meyers&Farrar maintains between 300 and 400 wedding sets in stock and is one of the state’s largest diamond importers. In addition, Meyers&Farrar has earned a reputation as one of the most trusted estate jewelry representatives. Meyers&Farrar--- we celebrate life and we believe memories are important . |
